HR Boot Camp Part I

Times:
9:30am - 10:45am

This class is designed for early-career HR professionals and for small-business/organization professionals who have multi-responsibility jobs that include the agency's HR function. Broken into two parts, the presentations are geared to provide basic and essential HR knowledge to individuals whose experience is limited based on tenure or scope of responsibility. The presentation and handout materials will serve as resources to increase attendees' confidence and knowledge of sound Human Resources practices.

Part I

Attendees will learn about the core components of a sound Human Resources program including HR management, the functional areas of HR, an overview of employment laws and federal hiring guideline, and the importance of having agency HR policies and procedures.  The presentation and discussion will provide attendees with an understanding of HR's role as a strategic partner in business management.
